Gary Brossett
Judge
Gary Brossett is a Commercial Balloon Pilot and Maintenance Technician with over 45
years of experience in aviation. He is a retired Aerospace Quality Engineer and United
States Air Force Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor.
Gary was recognized as the 2019 Balloon Federation of America (BFA) National Crew
Person of the Year and 2020 National FAA Safety Team Representative of the Year. He
also holds a Private Pilot- aircraft single engine land, Remote Pilot, A&P with Inspection Authorization, and Advanced Ground Instructor certificates.
He is a 5-time Master Aviation Educator and earned post Graduate Certificates in
Aviation Safety and Instructional System Design, a Master of Aeronautical Science in
Aerospace Education from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Master of Quality Management from Eastern Michigan University.
He currently volunteers on the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Scholarship
Committee and as President of the Chattahoochee Valley EAA Chapter 677 in
Columbus, Georgia.
Gary is a life member of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), Air Force
Association (AFA) and the Aircraft Engine Historical Society (AEHS), a member of the
Vintage Aircraft Association, Balloon Federation of America (BFA), and National
Aeronautic Association.
