Annual Nominations

Our organization annually awards and honors three industry members for their contributions to flight instruction, aviation maintenance, and aviation safety. A panel of judges selects each honoree from a candidate pool of direct applicants and nominations from around the GA community. GAA is proud to host this long tradition of honoring members of our industry who stand out amongst their peers. Below, you will find information on applying and nominating someone (or yourself!) for one of these three categories.

Eligibility Criteria

Nominees are Required to:

Actively work within the United States.
Hold current FAA airman certificates (if required)
Have NOT had an airman certificate suspended, revoked, subject to enforcement action, or have NOT been convicted of a civil or criminal offense during the preceding five years
In addition:

AMT candidates may be either a maintenance technician working under FAR Part 65 and holding a current FAA airman certificate or be an avionics technician working with a Part 145 Repair Station.
CFI candidates must be working under FAR Part 61, 141, or 142 and must hold a current FAA airman certificate.
REP candidates must be actively involved in the FAA Safety Team.

ALL APPLICATIONS, INCLUDING LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION, MUST BE SUBMITTED ON A SINGLE PDF DOCUMENT. MORE THAN ONE DOCUMENT UPLOAD WILL BE RETURNED.
